Pottstown YWCA's Black Heritage Celebration
Published: Feb 11 2013 07:25:29 AM EST
It's been a tradition for 29 years but this may be the best turnout yet.
About 200 folks were at the YWCA Tri-County Area's Black Heritage Celebration in Pottstown for the luncheon and programs hoping to expand the community's understanding of black history.
The event included awards, poetry contests, music and food.
Awards were handed out to the young heroes who exemplify the organization's mission to eliminate racism and empower women.
