Quakertown School District to cut nineteen support staff
The Quakertown Community School District has reached a contract deal with its support staff after a tense meeting Thursday.
The union says it was able to keep 57 of the 76 jobs that were on the chopping block but had to agree to nineteen positions being cut.
The union also says it has agreed to pay cuts that will save the district $1.5 million dollars.
The contract is a four year deal.
