Transit officials in Philadelphia say a commuter train traveling through the city has struck and killed a pedestrian.
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority had no further information on the death Friday morning near the North Broad Station.
The statement from SEPTA says a regional rail train traveling from downtown Philadelphia to Lansdale and Doylestown hit someone around 6:30 a.m.
Normal service has resumed for northbound trains on the Lansdale/Doylestown and Manayunk/Norristown lines. They had temporarily bypassed the affected stop in north Philadelphia.
Police are investigating.
