Students in Montgomery County are doing their part to give back for Thanksgiving.

Students at Salford Hills Elementary School in the Souderton School District made turkey boxes.

The boxes contain Thanksgiving dinners as well as other food that will last into the winter.

The food was donated by Salford Hills families and teachers.

"I just think we have a really caring population. Every time we ask them to help and step up- and we ask a lot- they do," said Janet Smith.

Nineteen families from the school will be receiving the turkey boxes.

They will be picking them up over the next few days.
