Septa train collides with van in New Britain
A man and a woman are recovering after a collision with a Septa train in Bucks County.
It happened just before 6:30 p.m. Thursday on Butler Pike in New Britain Township.
Officials say a minivan got stuck between the two railroad crossing gates and was struck and dragged by the Doylestown-bound train.
The passenger was able to escape but the driver was still inside the van when the train hit.
Both were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Septa says it is doing an inspection to make sure the train's equipment was working properly.
