Robert McBrien and Heather Benner charged with theft of shotgun
Stolen from home, gun was pawned in Quakertown
A Bucks County man and woman have been charged with the theft of a shotgun by Pennridge Regional police in Sellersville.
Robert McBrien of Round House Road in Quakertown and Heather Benner of Cathill Road in Sellersville were charged with theft and receiving stolen property.
The shotgun's unidentified owner discovered it missing on April 27 from his residence in the 1000 block of Old Bethlehem Pike in East Rockhill Township. He told police it has been taken sometime during the previous six months.
After the owner reported the missing gun, police learned Benner and McBrien stole it and took it to a gun shop in Quakertown, where it was pawned for cash. A receipt was signed by Benner.
