Nine-run inning dooms IronPigs in Norfolk

The Norfolk Tides scored nine runs in the fourth inning en route to a 10-1 whitewashing of the IronPigs Wednesday night.

The nine runs are the most the 'Pigs have given up in one inning in franchise history.

Adam Morgan (1-4, 4.97) gave up all 10 runs for the 'Pigs, though only three of them were earned.

The Tides' offensive onslaught came one game after they had scored seven runs in an inning against the 'Pigs on Tuesday.

The IronPigs (16-23) have now lost three in a row.

They'll continue their series in Norfolk on Thursday at 12:05pm.
