North Allegheny runs past Coatesville for 4A state championship

Coatesville falls in state championship

Coatesville's magical run to Hershey ended in a 63-28 loss to North Allegheny Saturday night in the PIAA 4A state championship at HersheyPark Stadium.

The game marked a PIAA championship record for points by a single team, and combined points in a game.

Emmett Hunt ran for two touchdowns and threw a 43-yard scoring strike to Dre Boggs in a losing effort for Coatesville.

Daquan Worley provided a highlight-reel 89-yard touchdown run in the second quarter for the Raiders.

This year marked Coatesville's first ever trip to the PIAA state championship game.

The Raiders finish the year at 13-3.
