2014: Former NBA coach and Basketball Hall of Fame member John "Dr. Jack" Ramsay dies of cancer at age 89 in Naples, Florida. He coached the Philadelphia 76ers, Portland Trail Blazers, Buffalo Braves and Indiana Pacers in a career lasting from 1968 to 1988, winning an NBA title with Trail Blazers in 1977. He's also known for his broadcasting work with the Indiana Pacers and Miami Heat, and for ESPN, both on television and radio.
