2010: Actor and singer Pernell Roberts, the last surviving star of the TV western "Bonanza," dies of pancreatic cancer at the age of 81 in Malibu, California. Besides playing Ben Cartwright's eldest son, Adam Cartwright, on "Bonanza," Roberts also is best known for playing chief surgeon Dr. John McIntyre, the title character on "Trapper John, M.D."
