1995: Greg Maddux of the Atlanta Braves becomes the first major league pitcher to win four consecutive Cy Young Awards. During those four seasons (1992-1995), Maddux had a 75–29 record with a 1.98 Earned run average (ERA), while allowing less than one runner per inning. Randy Johnson would later tie Maddux's mark by winning four consecutive Cy Young Awards from 1999 to 2002.
