Pair charged in arson, vandalism spree

SOUTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. - Two people have been arrested on charges they set several brush fires and vandalized numerous vehicles and buildings.

Cory Praschyk and Nicolle Balliet were taken into custody after allegedly setting several fires in South Whitehall Twp., Lehigh Co. late Friday night and early Saturday morning.

Police said their vehicle was spotted the night before in the area of another fire in Upper Macungie Township.

During the investigation, police said they learned Praschyk, of Bethlehem, and Balliet, of Allentown, set additional fires in South Whitehall, Upper Macungie, and North Whitehall townships.

They said they also learned that the pair spray-painted numerous vehicles, buildings and roads in South Whitehall and Upper Macungie townships.
