PSU starts settlement talks with abuse victims

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Negotiators say Penn State University has started settlement talks with at least 20 men who accuse Jerry Sandusky of sexual abuse.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that number includes eight people named in the prosecution of Sandusky, four who have filed lawsuits or spoken with reporters and eight others who have not spoken publicly.

Attorney Michael Rozen is handling the talks with his partner, and he says mediators have not started evaluating the cases yet.

He told the Inquirer officials are talking about how to put the claims into a hierarchy.

Sandusky was sentenced last week to 30 to 60 years in prison on molestation convictions.
