Medical marijuanna bill proposed in PA Senate

The legalization of medical marijuana is now up for discussion in the Pennsylvania Senate.

A bipartisan proposal filed Monday seeks to legalize medical cannabis. The bill is sponsored by Democrat Daylin Leach, who represents parts of Delaware and Montgomery counties, and Republican Mike Folmer, who represents parts of Berks, Chester, Dauphin, Lancaster and Lebanon counties.

The state senators have begun a "Meet the Kids" campaign, which showcases sick children who the lawmakers believe would benefit from the passing of the bill.

This is the first bipartisan medical cannabis bill introduced in Pennsylvania's history.
