Pennsylvania tree arrives in New York for Christmas

NEW YORK - This year's Rockefeller Center Christmas tree made its way from Pennsylvania into New York City on Saturday.

The 12-ton, 75-foot Norway spruce came from State College.

It was cut down Thursday and transported by truck to midtown Manhattan, where a giant crane placed it next to the Rockefeller Center ice rink.

The tree will be dressed up in more than 50,000 lights ahead of the lighting ceremony that takes place on November 29.
