A Monroe County man is in jail after being arrested on drug trafficking charges.

Keith Wilson, 20, of 5517 Iroquois Street, Tobyhanna, was arrested Wednesday on an existing warrant for failing to appear for trial on a prior drug-related arrest.

When police searched his residence, they found Wilson had more than $1,500 in cash and multiple bulk packages of high grade marijuana.

In addition, police found evidence of drug trafficking and drug dealing, including a digital scale and drug packaging materials, police said.

During initial contact with police, knowing he was wanted by authorities, Wilson used another name, trying to lead police to another address, officials said.

Wilson was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, identity theft, flight to avoid apprehension and possessing instruments of a crime.

He was taken to Monroe County Correctional Facility under an additional $50,000 bail.
