Former Tamaqua school board member dies after falling
A former member of the Tamaqua Area School Board died this weekend as a result of injuries sustained from a fall.
The coroner says 54-year-old Daniel Miorelli died Saturday at St. Luke's Hospital.
The death was caused by complications of a left hip fracture Miorelli sustained when he fell from the back of a trailer last Tuesday in Carbon County, according to the coroner.
The death has been ruled an accident.
Miorelli served on the Tamaqua Area School Board. He was also board president of the Tamaqua Area Booster Club.
