A 46-year-old East Stroudsburg woman died from injuries sustained Saturday night when she fell off a bridge over Interstate 80 in Monroe County.

Linda Serrano died at 3:09 a.m. Sunday in the emergency room of Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg, said Monroe County Coroner Bob Allen.

Serrano and her husband got into an argument when they went out to dinner Saturday night at Big Daddy's restaurant in Bartonsville, reported the coroner. She got out of her husband's car on the on-ramp to I-80 from Route 33.  Serrano's unidentified husband drove away and went home.

The coroner reported Serrano fell 25 foot onto the berm of the westbound lanes of I-80 west in Hamilton Township.

Allen said Serrano was found by a motorist and was still alive when taken to the medical center. She told emergency responders she started walking home and didn't know how she ended up where she was.

She died from multiple blunt force injuries. The coroner ruled the manner of death accidental, since  no one else was involved.
