A Carbon County woman was killed in a skiing accident in Vermont, police said.

Investigators said Jennifer Strohl, 21, of Jim Thorpe, was reported missing Thursday afternoon by her friends. Strohl was separated from them earlier in the day.

Ski patrol found her off Killington Mountain's Great Northern Trail just after 5 p.m., about six hours after she was last seen.

Officials said she suffered head injuries as a result of an apparent collision.

Strohl was not wearing a helmet. Her death does not appear suspicious.
