State police found raw heroin in a car with a street value of $14,000 when they pulled over the driver for a traffic violation early Monday in Monroe County.
Troopers from the Swiftwater barracks pulled over a car driven by Simeon Gravesande of Brooklyn, New York, around 1:15 a.m. for a traffic violation.
Police found the drugs inside the car, stopped on Interstate 80 in Stroudsburg Borough and when officers tried to arrest Gravesande, he put up a fight.
Officers had to use a Taser on Gravesande in order to take him into custody.
During a search of the vehicle, police found packaging for the heroin.
A passenger, Tajori Daniels, also of Brooklyn, New York, was also taken into custody.
Both men face charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and related offenses.
