ROSS TWP., Pa. -

A Poconos community says it will build a new township building next to the one that was the scene of a deadly mass shooting.

Ross Township supervisors voted unanimously in favor of the plan Wednesday night.

Last August police say this man, Rockne Newell, opened fire at the Ross Township municipal building during a meeting, killing three people.

There had been some debate about whether the township should renovate that building or just build a new one.

The township says it isn't sure what it will do with the original building.

Meantime, Newell has pleaded not guilty.

He's due back in court in June.
