A reward being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the "16 Mile Fire" arsonist has increased.
The reward now stands at $20,000. The Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry made the announcement Thursday.
The fire scorched more than 8,000 acres in the woods along the border between Monroe and Pike counties. It burned from April 20 through May 2.
Information that could lead to the reward can be forwarded to bureau Special Investigator Terry Smith, 717-362-1472; or by calling 570-895-4000.
Anonymous tips will also be accepted but do not qualify for the reward.
