Alpine Mountain Ski area sold

PRICE TOWNSHIP, Pa. - A Monroe County couple scored big on a Poconos ski resort that's been on the market.

The Alpine Mountain Ski Area in Price Township was sold for a bargain $412,000 to Jim and Linda Schlier who also own the Pocono Mountain Harley Davidson.

The resort just north of East Stroudsburg is home to more than 97 acres and went up for sale last fall.

This past winter was the first time it was closed for skiers and snow tubers in more than 40 years.
