Attempted robbery foiled by Dollar General store staff in Blakeslee

BLAKESLEE, Pa. - Police are searching for a man who unsuccessfully attempted to rob a Blakeslee store during Hurricane Sandy.

According to the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department, the attempted robbery occurred at the Dollar General Store in the Blakeslee Shopping Plaza at 7:45 p.m. Monday.

The suspect, a white male, balding with some facial hair, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, entered the store and subsequently attempted to remove money from the cash register. The robbery attempt was foiled by employees, police said.
