Carbon County farm to provide White House Christmas tree

Crystal Springs Farm in Lehighton will sent tree to D.C.

WH Christmas tree coming from Carbon Co.

LEHIGHTON, Pa. - A tree farm from Carbon County will be once again be delivering a tree to the White House for the holidays.

Crystal Springs Tree Farm at 2370 Mahoning Drive East in Lehighton was named the grand champion of the National Christmas Tree and Wreath Contests out in Michigan this weekend.

White House representatives will be picking an 18-foot tree from the farm in October.

The farm was selected by a panel of growers, industry experts and consumers during a two-day competition at Peterson's Riverview Nursery in Allegan in southwestern Michigan.

This will be the fourth time in the last eight years that Crystal Springs will be providing a tree for the Blue Room.
