East Stroudsburg man pleads guilty to possessing child porn

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - A 22-year-old man pled guilty Wednesday morning just before his trial was set to begin.

Erik Samuel Decker, of East Stroudsburg, is guilty on charges that he possessed and disseminated child pornography images online, according to a news release from the Monroe County District Attorney's office.

The DA's office says Decker was arrested earlier in 2017 after he uploaded a photograph of a nude young girl lying on her back covered in semen to the website Chatstep.com.

The staff of Chatstep reported the picture to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which was forwarded to detectives with the Monroe County Distric Attorney's office, who handle cybercrime investigations.

The report led to a search of Decker's apartment on Elk Street in East Stroudsburg in June. Officials found 49 images of child pornography on his computer, depicting children between a few months old to around 10 year sold engaged in sexual acts.

Decker is guilty of one count of disseminating child pornography, one count of possessing child pornography, and one count of criminal use of a communication facility. He awaits his Feb. 20 sentencing in Monroe County Correctional Facility.
