ESU students win honors at regional theater festival

Students from East Stroudsburg University's theater department are celebrating their winning honors received at the Region II Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. 

Senior Nichole Seul of Milford, majoring in technical theater, earned the Don Childs Award for Technical Merit and honorable mention for theatrical design excellence for her lighting design in the recent production of "The Laramie Project." An all expenses paid one-week intensive workshop in a technical theater area of Seul's choice at the Stagecraft Institute of Las Vegas is part of her award. 

Junior Sarah Bauch of Effort, majoring in technical theater and secondary education with a concentration in history, and Junior Katherine French of Springtown, majoring in theater, both earned honors for stage management. 

Junior Angelica Ramirez of Effort, majoring in musical theater, earned recognition for her acting and musical theater skills by advancing to the second round of the Irene Ryan acting competition.
