ESU women's basketball manager to meet NBA's Steph Curry

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - The manager of the East Stroudsburg University Women’s Basketball team will get to meet her favorite NBA player thanks to help from social media.

Rachel Grace has worked with the team since her freshman year.

Rachel, who has Down syndrome, is part of the University's Career Independent Living and Learning studies program.

Rachel and her teammates posted a video to social media asking Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors to invite them to a game when Curry travels to the East Coast.

Curry is Rachel’s favorite basketball player.

The team’s video, which was shared and retweeted thousands of times, caught the attention of Curry and his team and Curry invited Rachel to travel to California to watch a game.

Grace’s teammates surprised her with the news before Christmas.

"I thought it was awesome. I love that they did that for me,” she said.

"They're like my sisters....I just want to thank them for all that they've done for me."

Rachel said she plans to travel to California to meet Curry over spring break.
