Farmer dies after run over by tractor in East Penn

Coroner: Man had heart attack before accident

EAST PENN TWP., Pa. - A farmer has died after he was run over by a tractor in Carbon County Wednesday evening.

Coroner Bob Miller said the man had a heart attack before he was run over, but it's unclear if that was related to the accident.

Authorities said the accident happened around 6:20 p.m. on a farm at Smithlane Road and E. Lizard Creek Road in East Penn Township.

He was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The coroner did not release a cause of death or the man's name.
