Lightning hits chimney in Lansford

LANSFORD, Pa. - Severe storms moved through the region Wednesday evening, causing some problems.

In Lansford, Carbon County, an 11-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after lightning struck a chimney in the 500 block on East Patterson Street.

Bricks from the chimney fell on the sidewalk.

The child was near the house at the time, but it's unclear whether the falling debris is what hurt him.

He was taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown.
