Police search for missing Monroe County teen Kristie Murray is over

Teen returned to her mother, authorities say

MIDDLE SMITHFIELD TWP., Pa. - Authorities in Monroe County have found a missing teenaged girl who apparently ran away with her boyfriend.

State police said 17-year-old Kristie Ann Murray of the 1000 block of Marshalls Creek Road in Middle Smithfield Twp. never came home from school Thursday.

Murray's mother told police the girl had been skipping school, they argued and Kristie never came home.

Police said Murray was found and returned to her mother.

She is 5 feet 2 inches tall, 115 pounds, with dark curly hair, brown eyes and "love" tattoo behind her right ear.

She was last seen wearing a white tank top, black Abercrombie & Fitch zip-up hooded sweatshirt, blue sweatpants and Adidas flip flops with black socks.

Anyone with information on her location is asked to contact state police at Swiftwater at 570-839-7701.
