W. MAHANOY TWP., Pa. - State police in Frackville are searching for a man they say tried to kill his daughter's boyfriend.

It happened at the Motel Six in West Mahanoy Township in Schuylkill County Sunday afternoon.

Police say Donald Jenkins Jr., 40, went to the hotel room at the motel where his daughter and her boyfriend were staying and an argument began.

Investigators say at some point Jenkins shot the victim in his upper left leg and groin area.

Police say Jenkins then ran from the motel.

The victim was taken to the hospital.

Police have issued a warrant for Jenkins and said he's possibly in the Shenandoah area. He's facing charges of attempted homicide, burglary, aggravated assault and more.
