Saylorsburg man dies in motorcycle accident

Jamie Buchman pronounced dead on the scene

ROSS TWP., Pa. - A 51-year-old Saylorsburg man was killed Monday evening when he lost control of his new motorcycle, crossed the center of a road and hit a car going the other direction.

Jamie R. Buchman was pronounced dead at the scene by Monroe County Coroner Bob Allen.

The accident happened about 6:42 p.m. Monday on Stonehill Lane in Ross Township, Monroe County.

State police at Lehighton report Buchman was traveling south on Stonehill Lane, just north of Dogwood Lane, when he lost control of his 2014 Harley-Davidson.

Police said the victim failed to negotiate a sharp right hand turn in the roadway and hit a northbound 2014 Acura.

The driver of the car, 54-year-old Bonnie Badolato, also of Salylorsburg, was not injured.
