Woman arrested for allegedly torching her home with kids inside

KIDDER TWP., Pa. - A Poconos woman is accused of setting her house on fire several times while her children were inside.

Police in Kidder Township, Carbon County received a mental health call on February 10 for Edith Keen, 42.

Police found smoke coming from her home on Tanglewood Road.

The officers put out the fire with fire extinguishers and sent Keen to a hospital.

After an investigation, police learned that Keen had deliberately set fires to the home over the past few days while her children were inside.

She is facing charges of attempted homicide, arson, endangering a child and related offenses.
