Police: Argument led to threat with knife in Upper Mount Bethel

UPPER MOUNT BETHEL TWP., Pa. - A man was arrested after allegedly threatening another man with a kitchen knife, officials said.

Shariff Amir Pink was arguing with Joseph Moody at about 10:15 p.m. Friday in Pink's home at 536 Totts Gap Rd., Upper Mount Bethel Twp., Northampton Co., when he grabbed a knife from the kitchen, put it a couple of inches from Moody's face and told him, "I will cut you," officials said.

Moody escaped from Pink and called 911, officials said.

Pink, 21, was arraigned early Saturday morning on charges of making terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $5,000 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. Sept. 24.
