Police find bricks of heroin in car during I-80 traffic stop

STROUDSBURG, Pa. - Four New Jersey teens are facing charges after police found bricks of heroin in their trunk during a traffic stop early Tuesday.

According to Pennsylvania state police, troopers stopped a car driven by 19-year-old Kiana Samiriah Garnett of Newark after she committed several traffic violations around 1:45 a.m.

The incident happened in the westbound lanes of Interstate 80 near mile marker 305 in Stroudsburg, Monroe County.

Police said Garnett gave her consent to search the vehicle, and that search yielded around nine 'bricks' of heroin in the car's trunk.

Garnett and her passengers -- Dominique Charmaine Reid, Keimai Colon, and Robert Fuquan Mitchell, all 19 and from Newark, -- were arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and related charges.

All four were taken to the Monroe County Correctional Facility to await a preliminary arraignment.
