Police follow tip, catch man in connection with bank robbery

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Thanks to a viewer's tip, Allentown Police now have a man in custody in connection of a bank robbery last week.

The holdup happened around 1:30 p.m. at the TD Bank in the 1800 block of Tilghman Street in Allentown on March 16.

The robber, police said, gave a teller a note indicating he had a weapon and demanded cash.

Police have arrested Michael Todd Stilo, 25, on charges of robbery, theft by unlawful taking, terroristic threats, simple assault, receiving stolen property, drug paraphernalia and simple possession of drugs.

Police found him Tuesday afternoon in the unit block of North Race Street in Allentown.
