Police: Group steals $3K of items from Victoria's Secret, threaten employees

WYOMISSING, Pa. - A group of people from the Baltimore area are in some big trouble in Berks County.

Police said the group stole $3,000 worth of items from the Victoria's Secret store at the Berkshire Mall in Wyomissing on Friday.

The group, police said, threatened employees with mace and pushed one employee around 5 p.m, however, no employees were seriously hurt.

Police said the group then left in a car that was spotted and followed by Spring Township police to the Shiloh Hills area of the township, where the five occupants got out and fled on foot.

Two of the suspects were chased down, two were found hiding under decks, and the last was found a short time later after initially getting away.

All five suspects face charges of robbery, retail theft, and fleeing and eluding police, but their trouble appears to extend beyond Berks County.

The people, whose names have not been released, are suspects in several other thefts of Victoria's Secret stores along the East Coast, stealing more than $300,000 worth of merchandise, according to Spring Township police.
