Police: Guns used in Krick's Korner robbery were stolen

READING, Pa. - The guns used in the Reading robbery that ended with a concerned citizen shooting and killing two suspects were stolen, county authorities said.

Court documents report that the alleged getaway driver, Alexander Garcia-Bialek, admitted to investigators during an interview that he obtained the guns and supplied them to the robbers, who were later killed.

William Medina, 24, and Robert DeCarr, 18, were shot and killed outside of Krick's Korner store in the 1600 block of N. 9th Street in Reading, after authorities say they stole money, cigarettes and lottery tickets.

The alleged getaway driver, Garcia-Bialek, is now being held responsible for the deaths of his alleged accomplices, and is facing second-degree murder charges.

Bialek has also been in trouble with the law before.

According to court records, he pleaded guilty in the past to reckless driving and eluding police officers.

Authorities say they are looking into whether all three suspects are related to other robberies in the area.
