Police look for cop impersonator in Wilson

Man allegedly used stun gun on 16-year-old girl

On the lookout for police impersonator

WILSON, Pa. - Residents in one Northampton County community are on high alert after a report of a possible police impersonator.

Officials in Wilson said a man wearing a black law enforcement type uniform told a 16-year-old girl he had a warrant for her arrest.

According to authorities, the man ordered the girl to get into his SUV; when she refused, the bogus cop reportedly used  a stun gun on her.

The teen was able to run away.

People who live in the area hope police get the fake cop off the streets and are also
urging teenagers to be careful.

"Teenagers now these days need to be aware.. We are not living in the old years anymore," said Hector Torres, of neighboring Easton.

If you have any information about this case, call Wilson police.
