Police: Man threatens to kill men on porch

Shawn Snyder allegedly pulls knife after fight in Catasauqua.

CATASAUQUA, Pa. - A Lehigh County man is facing a list of charges after police say he threatened to kill three men sitting on a porch.

The incident happened around 9:50 p.m. Friday at a house in the 200 block of Mulberry Street in Catasauqua.

According to police, the three were sitting on their porch when two men -- identified as Shawn Snyder and Daniel Kratzer-- walked onto the porch without permission.

After an altercation when the men tried to get Snyder and Kratzer off the porch, police said 36-year-old Snyder made threats to beat everyone up.

Snyder, of the 3400 block of School Street in Whitehall, then pulled a large knife out of a backpack and threatened to cut and kill everyone on the porch, police said.

Snyder was charged with simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment.

He is in the Lehigh County Prison after being unable to post $50,000 bail.
