Police: N.Y. man arrested after standing pat at casino

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - A New York man ran out of chances to leave the Sands casino Monday afternoon and is now facing charges, officials said.

Ali Cebi , 57, was told to leave the casino parking garage by Sands security at about 3:25 p.m., but refused to do so, officials said.

Police were called and told Cebi was no longer allowed on Sands property, and that he refused to sign a form acknowledging that, officials said.

Cebi was arrested after he refused a chance to get on a bus or walk off the property, officials said.

Cebi, of 341 East 6th St., New York City, was arraigned on a charge of defiant trespass and released on $5,000 unsecured bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set 9 a.m. Aug. 30.
