Police: Nazareth councilman Christian Audenried found passed out drunk in his car

NAZARETH, Pa. - A Nazareth Borough councilman is facing charges after police say they found him passed out drunk inside his car.

Police say they were checking on a 911 hangup call in the parking lot of the Giant on Nazareth Pike last week when they found councilman Christian Audenried slumped over in the driver's seat of his car.

Police say Audenried smelled of alcohol and had a bottle of vodka in his car.

He was later cited for public drunkenness.

The mayor of Nazareth says Audenried is still a council member and he says the borough won't take any action on the matter.
