Police: Person hit by vehicle on Route 309

Pedestrian struck by vehicle

UPPER SAUCON TWP., Pa. - Police and rescue crews are on the scene of a crash where a person was reportedly hit by a truck.

Around 7:30 p.m. Thursday a pedestrian was was hit by a vehicle on Route 309 and Lower Saucon Road in Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County -- near the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley.

Reports indicate the person was hit by a tow truck.

There's no word yet on how seriously the person was hurt.  The Lehigh County Communications Center says the coroner has not been called to the scene.
