Administration wants to raise property taxes

READING, Pa. - Property owners in Reading may be digging a little deeper next year.

Mayor Vaughn Spencer's administration is asking to increase property taxes by 20 percent in next year's budget.

Spencer had previously been proposing a 15 percent increase.

Officials say the mayor and city council are still crunching the numbers and nothing has been finalized.
