Brennan's request to be removed from ballot granted

He's served in the 133rd District for 6-years but come this November, State Representative Joe Brennan's name will not be on the ballot.

Officials say the commonwealth court has granted Brennan's request to have his name removed.

The news comes just over a week after he was charged with assaulting his wife and driving drunk.

The court has also granted the State Democratic Committee an extension to name Brennan's replacement.

The deadline was supposed to be Thursday but party leaders now have until next Wednesday at 4:00pm.
