Dent proposes insurance bill

HERSHEY, Pa. - Lehigh Valley Congressman Charlie Dent is proposing a new bill that would allow children to stay covered by the health insurance program they already have.

The Affordable Care Act mandates that children in low income families enter the Medicaid program.

Dent is proposing a bill that would allow families to choose the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) instead.

Dent is planning to unveil the details of the bill Monday at the Hershey Medical Center.
