Warren Co. Sheriff's primary finally decided

An election that has been up in the air since June has finally been decided.

Warren County Sheriff David Gallant has won the Republican sheriff's primary.

Challenger James McDonald Sr. had been challenging the result but election officials say the parties have reached a settlement.

Gallant won by just 16 votes.

Gallant is a virtual lock for the November general election since there are no Democratic candidates.
