WEST READING, Pa. - The public is being invited to pay their respects to a little West Reading girl who inspired people across the country and around the world this holiday season.
Plans for a public viewing for Delaney Brown, who lost her battle with a rare form of cancer early Christmas morning, were announced Thursday.
The public can pay its respects to the Laney at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday.
In honor of Laney's "fashionista" style, the family is encouraging those in attendance to dress to impress by wearing bright colors.
Public parking will be available in the parking lot at North 8th and Penn avenues, across the street from the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Laney's honor may be made to the Four Diamonds Fund, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, PO Box 852, Hershey, Pa. 17033.
For additional updates from the family, you can visit the "Team Laney" Facebook page.
Laney managed to unite an entire community in her final days when she made it known that one of her dying wishes was to have people sing Christmas carols outside her home. Nearly 10,000 people answered that call, filling the streets of West Reading last Saturday night.
