Reading man accused of downloading child pornography

READING, Pa. - A Reading man is facing charges for downloading child pornography onto his computer.

Charges were filed Tuesday against Miguel Angel Colon-Rivera of the 900 block of Franklin Street.

Allentown police had been investigating the person to person file sharing site Ares P2P.

Police say they found Colon-Rivera had downloaded a video more than 5 minutes long that showed a man having sex with a young girl, 11-13 years old.

A few months later, police were able to obtain a search warrant for Colon-Rivera's home.

Police say Colon-Rivera admitted to downloading videos once a week, watching them and deleting them.

He's facing charges for child pornography, disseminating photo or film of child sex acts and criminal use of communication facility.
